Poverty is one of the main problems which is increasing in this world. Many social, religious organizations, churches and people work hard to eliminate it. But instead of decreasing, it increases each year.
Millions of people sleep without food at night in this world. One time meal is luxury for innumerable lives. Factors such as under education, unemployment, competition for job, population growth, divorce and laziness leads a person towards poverty. Its level is high in third world countries. Whereas other wealthy countries are also not exempt from it.
Many teaching about this is given in the Bible. God encourages us in both Old and New Testaments to take of care orphans, widows, foreigners and poor people.
We have to love them and have concern for them. According to the Word of God, we have to support them. If we give them opportunity and uphold them, they will surely progress in life.
Many organizations in Gujarat and in India are working exemplary in this direction. But the work is enormous. So the believers should join their helping hands together.
We receive vision and guidance to work in this direction through a visit from Tribal believer leader. Lord gave us vision. We were burdened and obeyed the Lord.
Tribal person Mr.D.K. from south Gujarat had requested us to help the needy tribal students of his place. We prayed for about 7 months and then determined to support them. Thus ‘SERVING FRIENDS FOUNDATION’ was born.
